 Bishop John L. Benford is the founder and pastor of Valley Harvest Ministries (VHM) which is one of the fastest growing churches in Northwest Arkansas. He is a State Bishop with the Convention of Covenanting Churches of Los Angeles, California. Bishop Benford’s focus is to show God’s people how to achieve the next level of living through faith.
In early 1994, after much prayer, fasting, and studying of God’s Word, Bishop Benford acknowledged the voice of God and relocated from Upland, California, where he owned and operated a successful mortgage company, to Northwest Arkansas.
In June of 1995, he and his wife, Pleshette Benford, accepted a full-time pastoral position at First Christian Church (FCC) in Gravette, Arkansas.
Founded in 1998, Valley Harvest Ministries’ primary focus is to touch people and change their lives. From the Ministry headquarters in Rogers, AR they are definitely achieving their goal.
Bishop Benford is leading thousands to Christ through the powerful and innovative “Direction for Life” Television Ministry, which airs throughout Northwest Arkansas.
His success in ministry is attributed to his taking a stand on the scripture Mark 11:24 in every aspect of his life and by being an example to his congregation through his blessed relationship with his wife Pleshette, and their 5 children.
